New evidence comes to light on the women's murder case in Drama, where a 52-year-old police officer murdered his dissociative wife and then committed suicide, regarding the psychological support the couple reportedly had sought in recent times.

The police officer had reportedly addressed the Greek Police psychologist, with whom only two private sessions were held. According to the same information, there were no cases of abuse, threats, suicidal thoughts or any other evidence of violent behaviour that could prejudice the tragic development.

After the two sessions, both the 52-year-old and 45-year-old police officer were referred to a private psychiatrist for further surveillance. The psychiatrist reportedly had given medication, but no more details of the mental condition or problems encountered had been known.

There has so far been no information from the private psychiatrist about the conclusions of the monitoring or any indications he had found during meetings with the couple.
