Sebastian Fitzek was born in 1971 and is the most successful writer of psychological thrillers in Germany. His first novel, The treatment, was released in 2006 and immediately became a best seller. Since then his books have been released in 37 countries and have sold over 20 million copies worldwide, while much has been arranged for cinema, television, and theatre. In 2017 he was the first German writer to be awarded the European Police Literature Award.

Sebastian Fitzek lives with his family in Berlin.
