Four days for the island's pistachio, and the busiest weekend of the Aegina autumn. Stalls along the harbour front sell pistachios and everything made from them, alongside concerts, cookery demonstrations, children's activities, exhibitions and guided visits to the museums and archaeological sites.
Dates confirmed by the Municipality of Aegina in its call for exhibition stands. The detailed programme is usually published in early September at fistikifest.gr.
Worth knowing if you live here: the town fills up, parking near the harbour disappears, and the late ferries are heavily booked.
