Trump: American forces will remain in the Persian Gulf region for some time, it's a nice place

Since other countries have ballistic missiles it would be a little unfair for Iran not to have any, said the US president and reiterated that if the agreement is not complied with the war will begin again

US President Donald Trump said today that US armed forces will remain in the Gulf region "for some time" after Framework agreement reached by Washington and Tehran to end the war. "It's a good question, we haven't thought about it yet. Rather, for some time, it is a nice place to stay, I think it will go well," he said.

Speaking to reporters in Paris, Trump also commented that since other countries have ballistic missiles, it would be "a little unfair" for Iran to have none.

The American president warned Tehran today that if it fails to meet its commitments and no final agreement is reached, the war will resume.

It is noted that Trump is tonight invited by French President Emmanuel Macron for dinner in Versailles, after the conclusion of the G7 summit.
