Sadness has caused in the showground the news of Davey Chase's death at the age of 35. The actress who became known as the voice of "Lilo" in "Lilo & Stitch" and as Samara Morgan in the horror film "The Ring" died Tuesday, following serious complications in her health, reportedly published by TMZ.

According to what her partner Roy Hernandez revealed, the actress ended up due to meningitis and blood infection, which caused sepsis and eventually led to the collapse of her body.

As it became known, Chase had been hospitalized earlier in the month in a Los Angeles hospital due to severe malnutrition, while her health condition had deteriorated dramatically in recent weeks.

Hernandez said their lives changed radically when the actress was diagnosed with meningitis and multiple serious blood infections. As he argued, doctors had warned him that her condition was extremely critical and that she might have had little time to live.

After publishing the news of her death, one of her last posts on Instagram came to the fore.

Shortly before her death, Roy Hernandez had set up a campaign on the GoFundMe platform aimed at raising money to care for the actress and ensuring decent conditions during the last days of her life.

In his touching message he described his partner as "light" in his life and revealed that behind her brilliant childhood career there were deep personal injuries and difficult experiences.

As she reported, Chase had experienced a difficult childhood, a painful alienation from her family, while for years she was faced with intimidation and insecurity in downtown Los Angeles.

In his appeal to the public he called for financial support or even a prayer, thanking those who could stand by them. By the time her death became known, the campaign had raised just $325, against a $5,500 target.
