Fire broke out on Thursday morning, June 18, at the Emirates Financial Towers, located at Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC), causing great mobilisation of the Authorities. The flames occurred on the upper floors of the North Tower, while access to the area was blocked for security reasons.

According to a report from the Khaleej Times site, the fire occurred on the top floors of the North Tower of Emirates Financial Towers.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing dense smoke clouds emerging from the building, while orange flames were visible emerging from the skyscraper's upper levels.

Direct mobilisation of authorities
Emergency forces reached the point within minutes of the fire's manifestation. Many patrol cars were deployed in the area, while authorities immediately proceeded to take security measures.

Al Soukook Street, which leads to the Emirates Financial Towers complex, closed for traffic, in order to facilitate the fire-fighting operation.

At the same time, access to both vehicles and pedestrians in the wider area was prohibited, as part of the measures implemented to protect the public and ensure the operational action of the competent services.

So far, the cause of the fire has not become known.

The competent services shall continue efforts to fully extinguish the fire, and no information on any injuries or damage within the building has been announced.
