Michael Koulianos continued his impressive course after the bronze medal he won a few days ago at the World Championships ILCA 6, winning this time the gold medal in the category Apprentices of Class ILCA 7. The athlete of the Kalamaki Naval Group dominated the race with eight victories in a total of twelve sailings, showing stability and a high level of performance against top rivals from around the world.

In the same category, sailing coach Alexis Katsios won second place and silver medal, completing Greek rule at the top of the ranking.

Similarly impressive was Antonis Bouyouris' presence in the Masters category. With nine first places in twelve sailings, the multi-time Greek champion won his 11th medal in corresponding events and the seventh gold of his career, confirming his top position on international sailing.

The event gathered 84 top sailing ships from 20 countries, who competed for a week in the waters of the Saronic Gulf, offering a high level of competition under different weather conditions. The excellent organization and warm hospitality of the Kalamaki Navy Group received particularly positive comments from athletes, coaches and escorts.

The President of ILCA, Marc LyttleHe welcomed the success of the event, pointing out that participants leave with the best impressions from Greece and the Kalamaki Naval Group.

For his part, the president of the organizer of the Kalamaki Naval Group, George Christopoulos, stressed that the biggest reward for the organizers is the satisfaction of the athletes while thanking the management of ILCA, the Greek Sailing Federation, volunteers, sponsors and the group's organizing team.

The President of the Hellenic Sailing Federation also highlighted the importance of success, Victory of Anastasiou, which noted that the seven total medals won by the Greek sailboats in the World Championships Masters ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 are irrefutable proof of the dynamics of Greek sailing, while congratulating the Kalamaki Naval Club for the successful event.

The award ceremony was attended, among other things, by the director of New Marina Alimos Vangelis Vlachos, the portmaster of Saronic James Kyriakakis and the representative of the sponsor company ONEX George Stefanou.
