Theon International (THEON) announces that it has concluded an exclusive agreement with Carlyle Europe Technology Partners (Carlyle Group) on the acquisition of Stéropès SAS, a parent company of SAS HGH Systèmes Infrarouges (HGH), at an valuation of around EUR 300 million.
HGH designs, develops, assembles and trades systems for electro-visual and infrared solutions for defence and political applications. The company was founded in 1982 in France and currently employs more than 130 research and development-focused executives.
HGH has an extremely flexible business model, high technology, fully compatible with THEON. The acquisition is expected to expand the product portfolio for THEON platforms, adding electro-visual solutions to treat drones (C-UAS), with advanced tracking and identification capabilities. These possibilities are based on HGH's proprietary technology, which is not subject to export restrictions (ITAR) and uses unique and patented applications of Artificial Intelligence.
This development is an important milestone in THEON's strategy for its rapid establishment as a leading company in electro-visual systems for platforms.
