Parliamentary processes to promote the new leadership of the Supreme Court are expected to begin on Friday morning 19 June 2026.
According to the planning of the Conference of Speakers of the House, at 09:30 the first meeting will be held for the hearing of candidates for the position of President of the Supreme Court.

These are the current Vice-Presidents of the Supreme Court: Alexandra Apostolakis, Athanasios Theofanis, Stavroula Kousoulou, Socrates Plasteras, Chrysoula Platia, Varvara Papari, Catherine Chondrarisou, Panagiotis Lyberopoulos and Michael Apostolakis.
The second meeting for the hearing of the current Areopagites will follow at 13:00 which are also candidates for the position of president: Panayiotis Venizelos, Eleni Chronaeus, Cleopatra-Dimitrios Kokkoros, George Schinohoritis, Evtytiou Nikopoulos, George Papageorgiou, Cornelia Panoutsou, Stavros Malainos, Panagiota Goudi-Nine, Leonidas Hatzistavrou, Iphigeni Matsuka, Niki Katsiaouni, Fotini Milii, Antigone Jelepi, Maria Giannakopoulou, Apostolos Fotopoulos, Maria Petsali and Erasmus Liouli.
He recalls that the term of office of today's Supreme Court leadership expires on 30 June, while the list of the prevailing replacements drawn up by the Conference of Speakers of the House after a vote is sent to the cabinet and has an advisory nature.
