An increase of 5.7% recorded total passenger traffic, for the first five months of 2026 at the country's airports.
In particular, according to the statistics of the Civil Aviation Administration (USA), passenger traffic reached 23,076,532 versus 21,837,473 passengers at the corresponding period of 2025.
With regard to the number of aircraft movements (flights and departures of domestic and foreign aircraft) January-May 2026, in all 39 airports in the country, whose air traffic control is carried out, above all, by EPA, there was an increase of 4.8% compared to the corresponding period of 2025. A total of 186,119 flights were made, compared to 177,573 flights last year.
