In the event entitled "Unforgivable Democracy – State of Law in Crisis", organized by Syriza on 25 June in Liberty Park, the mayor of Athens Harry Duke will participate. The event takes place at the initiative of the MEP of Syriza and vice-president of the Eurogroup The Left, Kostas Arvanitis.

The event will be open and according to the announcement, the subject will be the "rule of law in Greece and Europe" as well as "the challenges faced by democratic institutions and the institutional guarantees necessary to protect rights and freedoms".

"The European Parliament's 2025 State of Law report opened a crucial debate on the quality of democracy, the independence of Justice, transparency, accountability of power and the protection of fundamental rights. The event in Athens aspires to highlight the main conclusions of the exhibition and their importance for the functioning of the institutions in the country," the announcement says.
