Nick Kalathis after several years of wandering in Europe (Fenerbahce, Barcelona, Monaco, Partizan) returns to Greece on behalf of PAOK who is trying to return dynamically to the basketball scene.

The Greek American ace in his first statements did not hide his enthusiasm for the new page in his career, but also the high goals set by Bicephalos.

In detail what he said:

"I'm obviously very excited to be back in Greece. It's always been like a second home to me. I'm obviously very excited to play for PAOK. We had some excellent conversations with the coach on the phone. I think what's going to build here will be something special. I want to be a part of this.

For me, every time I get on the floor, I have motive. I always said basketball was a dream to me since I was a kid. I still have the same love since I started playing so far. So, by the time that love goes away, then it's my time to leave it, but for me every time I get on the floor and play in front of the fans, I have the same nervousness and motivation I need.

Nick Calathes | THE INTERVIEW

There's a twinning. Obviously, I was very grateful to the people of Partizan, the fans. They really accepted me with open arms. To me, it was a pleasure to play there. I'm excited to play here. And it's time they have this twinning.

Apparently, the goal for me is to help the team. Help her out in every way possible to get her to the next level. We have a long season at Eurocup ahead of us and I think the main goal is to play in Euroleague, but obviously there will be a step-by-step. Together with the children we hope to achieve something great this season.

Each, in every condition... Each team will have its own ups and downs in the season, but for us it will be a challenge. We'll get better in the season and hope that in the season we'll play our best basketball.

I'm very happy. I'm so happy to be here. I'm very grateful to play for a team like PAOK. I hope I can play my best basketball and make them proud.".
