Qatar's government described the Agreement between the United States and Iran As an important step towards further progress in diplomatic contacts, in view of the next round of negotiations expected to take place in Switzerland.
In a statement, the emirate's foreign ministry said the agreement "is a strong basis for the transition to the next stage of negotiations between the American and Iranian sides.".
Doha's placement comes a few hours before the technical talks scheduled to take place tomorrow in Switzerland.
It is noted that Qatar had taken on an important intermediary role in contacts between Washington and Tehran.
