Iran's highest leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, appeared Thursday with a series of posts in X where he comments on the deal with the US, for which he says he will observe it, although initially disagreed.

In his messages he writes:

In the name of God, mercy, mercy. To Iran's passionate and faithful people.

“ As you have been informed, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the presidents of Iran and the United States of America.

“ During the march toward achieving this stage, responsible officials, with sincere interest and goodwill, made extensive efforts — and, of course, it was the American president who, out of despair, used all kinds of pressure to achieve this.

“ I, in principle, had a different view; However, because of the commitment given to me by the honourable President — as head of the Supreme Council of National Security — on behalf of himself and on behalf of the other members in terms of safeguarding the rights of the Iranian nation and the Resistance Front, and because of his explicit acceptance of this responsibility, I gave my consent.

“ He also explicitly stated that if the American side seeks to make excessive demands, they will not yield to them. From this moment on, we — that is, you, the proud nation, and this humble servant — will expect the above terms to be implemented.“ It’s just that I’ve been thinking. ”
