The disciplinary sentence of the two-month holiday was delivered by the competent Council of the Court of Appeals for Mayor Cassandra, Hercules Levibadiotis, regarding the accident in amusement parksThe HalkidikiThat cost a 19-year-old life.
It was preceded by a referral to the Council, consisting of senior judicial officers and elected representative of the TTAs, from the Decentralized Administration of Macedonia Thrace for failure to act.
He was disciplined in the capacity of Deputy Mayor of Technical Works in the period 2023, i.e. one year before the accident occurred, in terms of performing an autopsy in the fatal crazy dance game, licensed for the summer period of that year
The Council has given its opinion that it has committed this disciplinary infringement and the decision has been notified today to Mr Leviadioti, who is expected to appeal to the Council of State.
During the process conducted last February, through his advocates, he had argued that he had no authority to issue licences to catering shops or entertainment businesses, a process for which the independent licensing department is responsible. He stressed that his responsibilities related to technical works and electrical lighting, while claiming that he received no knowledge - due to lack of competence - about a document that was electronically transferred to the municipality services and related to this autopsy.
