One of the most special moments of this year's cultural summer lived Athens on Thursday night, as Harvey Kaitel was at the Kolon Theatre for the official opening of the 16th Athens Open Air Film Festival, presenting the iconic "Look of Odysseus" by Theodoros Angelopoulos, thirty years after the first screening of the film that marked modern European cinema.

The presence of the great American actor in Athens was in itself an important cultural event. The audience found at the Kolonou Theatre had the opportunity to see in person one of the most recognizable protagonists of world cinema, who was connected as few foreign actors as the work of Theodoros Angelopoulos.

The special relationship with Angelopoulos
Kaitel's collaboration with Theodoros Angelopoulos remains one of the most special moments of his long-term career. Although the American actor has associated his name with some of the most iconic films in American cinema, the "Odysseus See" holds a special position on its route.

His presence in Athens, three decades after the release of the film, served as a symbolic tribute to Theodoros Angelopoulos and the legacy he left in world cinema.
