Financing of a total amount of 5,961,270 euros to the Municipality of Leros for the implementation of infrastructure projects and the upgrading of municipal services on the island, the Ministry of Migration and Asylum approved.

Financing is allocated to five operations. In particular, 2,457,000 euros are provided for the improvement of the road network of the Municipality of Leros, 655.200 euros for the supply and installation of equipment to upgrade playgrounds, as well as 290,340 euros for the supply of seven houses with autonomous systems for the production and disposal of drinking water.

At the same time, an amount of 2,507,310 euros will be allocated for the supply and installation of lighting tissues and autonomous solar lamps, while 51,420 euros are intended for the supply of a 4×4, light truck, which will cover the needs of the Municipality's Water Department.

According to the announcement, the projects aim to strengthen basic infrastructure, improve the provision of municipal services and meet needs related to the everyday life of the inhabitants of the island.
