The potential mother and son in Aigoo to kill each other have been ruled out by police investigating the case as from the forensic records they have in their hands, that does not arise.
The spokesperson of ELAS, Constantia Demoglidos, referring to the double murder of Aegios, with the victims of a 54-year-old mother and her 26-year-old son, explained that the investigation into the case is not over as there is other data that authorities are examining.
The reason is that they exist quite unanswered questions, Like where the murdered woman's cell phone is.
"The woman's cell phone was never found. Found a part of it that's not operational. Only the outer cap was found and this was carefully hidden inside the house," Mrs. Demoglidou said.
‘It does not appear that they eliminated each other’
"In this case we had ruled out the possibility of having another person inside the house. So since forensically, these two people do not appear to have exterminated each other, one having taken each other's life, so a third person has taken the lives of these two," said ELAS spokesperson.
The crime scene has changed.
Researchers are convinced that the perpetrator, if he is ultimately the accused 65-year-old Italian, had enough time until the Police arrived at the house, to change the crime scene, according to Mrs.Demoglidos as "there are some evidence that leads us to it, for example, if a man makes use of a gun and washes himself very well and mediate some hours, it is expected that no gunpowder will be found in his hands.".
Other answers from Forensics are expected
For the authorities, the investigation into the double murder of Aegios has not yet been closed as: "There is much that has not been answered yet. The investigation isn't over. There are other data we expect from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations" and "It is expected to start a new deposit cycle".
Video material is still being investigated.
The video footage from cameras in the area is still under consideration as, according to Mrs. Demoglidou "the colleagues have not finished this process" and under exploration is also the vehicle of the 65-year-old Italian and 54-year-old companion.
