In his first statements as a player of Mars, Jail Lindel spoke of his expectations with the Thessaloniki team. He also revealed what Vassilis Spanoulis told him, but Nikos Zissis and stressed that he would give his best. In the end he sent his own message to Mars fans.
Detailedly what Jail Lindel said:
"First and foremost, I want to thank God for this opportunity. Everything happens for a reason. I am very happy to be a part of a great organization, which has some of the best fans in the world with him. I already feel and receive the love of the world before I even get on the plane to Greece. This is the first time I've been out of my country and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else," he says.
On what he knows about Mars and what coach Vassilis Spanoulis and General Manager, Nikos Zissis, have told him:"I have only heard amazing things about Thessaloniki and Mars. This group has heart and pride, which its people and fans feed, so I wouldn't honor them if I didn't give my best. Coach and GM told me they'd get the best out of me. And I promise to give my best.
Mars is his first operation outside the United States. What are his expectations?"I really have no idea what to expect. I stand firm at my feet and am ready to accept anything good or not bring about this experience that I will experience."
As for the message he wants to send to the world:"What I can promise is that fans will receive love from me. The rest, on the field".
