Moments of terror lived a resident of Epfingham County in Illinois, U.S.A. when the tornado that swept the area on Wednesday, broke up his house while he was inside and recording the disaster with his cell phone.
The video that was posted in social media Trevor Kirk begins with him describing that "right now outside my house there is a tornado". Within a few seconds darkness falls as the current is cut while sounds of breaking with Kirk searching for a spot to protect himself.
Under the eerie sounds of destruction the video is interrupted and resumed with visibly confused Kirk recording images of absolute destruction. Showing the hacks in his hands, the man from Illinois says "My God, what happened?", without being able to believe he survived the disaster.
In his post he writes "I didn't have this on the bingo card for 2026. I'm safe and I only have a few scratches and scratches. God protected me" adding a psalm for "God who is my refuge and fort. God I believe and trust in you"
