The drivers moving to Kifisos and other parts of the Lecanopeion on Friday afternoon are facing great hardship.
Kifissou Avenue is in "deep red" from Reddi's height to Kifissia, with vehicle speeds being extremely low, mainly in the current to Lamia. Particularly increased is the move on the Attiki Street, from Paleopanagia to the height of Vrilissia in the current to Maroussi while delays occur from Maroussi to Metamorphosis.
But the problems are expanding across the basin. Delays are observed at Kifisia Avenue at the height of Amarousio and Chalandri, as well as at large sections of Vouliagmeni Avenue on the descent to Glyfada.
At the same time, there is total traffic chaos in downtown Athens. The main arteries, such as Queen Sophia, Solon, Stadium, Alexandra Avenue, and the descent of Syngros Avenue, are almost blocked.
