Albanian police have today charged an additional 27 protesters with disrupting the public order, following a new demonstration in Tirana against the plan to erect a luxury tourist complex associated with Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner.
Protesters are expected to regroup tonight, with participants stating their determination to continue the mobilisations until their demands, in particular the cancellation of this plan, are met.
Prior to this demonstration, the police made it known that 27 people were accused of "directing" participants on roads outside the planned routes, during a march in the capital last night.
These people are accused of "public order and security disruption actions", according to the police press release.
At the beginning of the week, at least 35 protesters were charged, for blocking the highway linking Tirana to the airport on Sunday night, during a protest protest against the luxury hotel's construction plan.
