American President Donald Trump again referred to Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, in a brief statement to the American television network NBC.
"Meloni supported me fanatically, but I don't want her as a fan because she didn't stand up to me - neither she nor NATO - when the matter of the Straits of Hormuz arose," the American president said.
Earlier, on Italian television channel La7 Trump had stated that the Italian Prime Minister begged him to take a photo together at the G7 summit on Evian and that he "spoiled her".
