Adventure for eight Poles in Mykonos, caught a sailboat fire on which they were aboard

Adventure for eight Poles earlier, as a fire occurred at noon on a Greek flag sailboat, on which they were aboard, during the process of docking at the marina of the new Mykonos port without fortunately any injury.

Directly at the point, officials of the Port Corps rushed to see the release of tobacco from the inside of the ship.

In the firefighting operation they assisted ship commanders, who boarded the sailboat and used fire extinguishers, limiting the fire.

All eight aboard the ship safely landed on land.

After the fireout, the sailboat was transferred with the assistance of the auxiliary vessel to the marina nozzle, where it docked safely.

A Mykonos Airport Fire Department complex performed an autopsy and found that there were no active fire outbreaks, while only material damage was recorded.

The Mykonos Port Authority conducts the preliminary questioning for the causes of the incident, while the vessel's departure was prohibited until the competent classification officer provided a certificate of airworthiness. The incident did not cause marine pollution nor was the safety of neighbouring vessels compromised.
