Tragedy at Nafplion General Hospital, 55-year-old nurse suffered a heart attack and died on duty

Tragedy occurred on Monday afternoon (15/6) at Nafplion General Hospital, as a nurse left her last breath on duty.

As the president of the WTODINE (Panhellenic Federation of Public Hospital Workers), Michael Giannakos, reports in a statement, the tragic incident occurred during emergency management, which caused increased mobilisation and tension in the Emergency.

The 55-year-old nurse suffered a heart attack and, despite the efforts of medical personnel for recovery, failed to recover. Her death has caused grief to colleagues and local society, as she was a particularly dear member of the nursing staff.

The exact causes and circumstances of her death are expected to be clarified by the competent procedures.
