Severe mourning has caused the local community of Achaia the tragic loss of a child only 17 months old, which ended on the evening of last Saturday at the University Hospital of Patras.
According to its sources tempo24, the boy had been taken to the nursing home on the same afternoon, presenting respiratory problems. Medical and nursing staff made every effort to stabilize and rescue him, however the child failed to hold on to life.
The incident was immediately informed by the Police, which conducts the relevant preliminary investigation in order to fully determine the circumstances of death. According to the evidence so far, there is no evidence of criminal action.
The exact causes of death are expected to be clarified by the results of forensic and laboratory tests. The unfortunate infant lived with his mother in the area of Lower Achaia.
