Bomber B-52 of the U.S. Air Force crashed shortly after taking off at Edwards Air Force Base in California, at 11:20 (local time, 22:20 in Greece) on Monday.

Fox broadcast images on which it appears the aircraft was on fire and possibly suffered total destruction.
The air base merely confirmed the fall and the start of an investigation into the causes.
Nothing is known about crew luck.
B-52 are one of the oldest but also most reliable aircraft of the American Air Force. They carry a huge amount of missiles and bombs over long distances while their electronic systems are constantly being renewed. The American Air Force plans to use them until mid-century.
