METLEN continues to strengthen its collaborations in the United Kingdom, as it implements for Elgin, a renewable energy project development company, new photovoltaic parks throughout the country, total power 112,5 MW.
According to METLEN’s Communication, these projects highlight the commitment of both companies to accelerate the development of Renewable Energy Sources and to support the UK’s clean energy targets.
The 61.9MW Thorpe power project in Staffordshire and Aston Flamville photovoltaic park in Leicestershire, power 26.2MW, are the newest additions to the partnership, after the 24.5MW power Mawr photovoltaic park in Wales, which had been announced.
METLEN has undertaken the design and execution of the projects, operating as an interfaced developer as well as the original operating and maintenance services (O&M).
When they are put into operation, the three projects are expected to produce enough clean electricity to feed 48,000 households annually, while contributing to the avoidance of around 16,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year.
