In operation of the new electronic platform for the certification version Eligibility in the context of the "Renovation of Residence" action of the NSRF 2021-2027 and in the course of the "Home I" and "Home II" programmes was mentioned by the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Domna Michailidou, speaking on Monday, June 15, 2026 on the ERT's "Links".
Ms Michaelidou announced that the platform is opening today through gov.gr and the address anakainisi.apps.gov.gr. By using the Taxisnet codes, the citizen will be able to determine whether he is eligible, which income category he belongs to and which of his properties he wishes to renovate. The Eligibility Certificate will be issued by 24 August 2026.
The action, a total budget of 480m euros, provides for a grant from 70% to 95% and up to 36,000 euros per residence. In addition, up to EUR 2,500 are covered for studies, licences and controls.
For a household with two children, the maximum annual income reaches 45,000 euros. An additional increase in the grant rate is envisaged, under the terms of the action, for dwellings in island or mountain areas, single-parent, three-and-a-half families, as well as for People with Disabilities or families with a disabled member.
Eligible dwellings must have a building permit by 31 December 1990 and have a main area surface of up to 120 square meters. For three children and many children, the limit is increased to 150 square meters, without changing the maximum amount of the grant.
In the second stage, beneficiaries will submit the application for funding and declare the work they wish to carry out. 60% to 80% of funding relates to renovation projects and 20% to 40% mild energy upgrading interventions.
Special importance is the advance: After the application is submitted, 60% of the approved grant amount will be paid to a special bank account. For its use, the beneficiary should have previously paid 40% of its intended own contribution to contractors or suppliers through the banking system and submitted the relevant evidence.
"Today we open the platform and enable the citizen to ascertain directly whether he is eligible and what property he can renovate. The grant may be up to 95% and 36,000 euros, while an advance of 60% of the approved amount is foreseen so that work can begin without delay. Our first priority is to activate closed houses and increase available residences for long-term lease," stressed Ms Michaelidou.
Residences that will join the action should maintain their declared use for at least five years. When available for hire, the lease will remain fixed for at least the first three years, while short term leases will not be allowed.
Overall, it is estimated that the action will cover around 25,000 dwellings, strengthening both the offer of properties for rent and sustainable ownership.
For my Home and Home II programmes, the minister pointed out that thousands of young people and families have already helped to obtain a first residence. Through the two programmes 24,095 loans have been approved and 20,080 contracted.
"In housing we intervene in both demand and supply. My Home programs make it easier to acquire first residence. With the "Renovation of Residence" we activate properties that today remain unusable. More housing is needed and more real choices for citizens," the minister concluded.
