Crime, mystery, agony and several doses of humor are the "structural" materials of another exciting police novel by Antigone Pommer which is currently unfolding in Varvakeio Agora, in the centre of Athens.
Our book returns to the capital of the 60 ’ s when everyday life breaks violently. Grand-trader Elias Petsas is found butchered inside his own butcher shop.
The only suspect is Thanasis Lalas, a butcher obsessively religious, known for his honesty.
Officer Hercules Bicas, a man divided between his duty and his passion for theatre, is taking the case. With acting studies and an almost absurd fear of blood, he is unable to withstand the spectacle that dominates Varvakeio and makes a desperate decision: to seek the help of the sole suspect.
A struggle begins to find the real killer and prove Thanasis Lala's innocence. Will Officer Bicas - one foot on stage and the other on crime - manage to solve the mystery;
