It was late last May when a black, shiny piano appeared on the Constitution subway, the busiest station in the capital, from which thousands of passengers pass daily.
Most initially felt that he had been placed there for the needs of some advertising campaign. However, it was quickly revealed that it was a separate initiative, which soon turned the Constitution subway into an improvised underground music scene, with leading people of everyday life.
Among them were many workers, who found the opportunity to pause for a while at the demanding pace of the day, filling the space with music and offering a different note to passengers' everyday life.
A piano in the Subway of the Constitution
As he says “the initiative to place the piano was by the outgoing deputy minister of transportation Konstantinos Kyranakis. STAY implements, coordinates and supports this action. It has provided the appropriate space within the station and provides the necessary operational support, as well as the supervision of action, in the context of the proper operation of the station’.
