The British government will supply Ukraine with enriched uranium for its nuclear power stations and proceed to impose new sanctions on Russia, Prime Minister Kir Starmer's services announced for a G7 working meeting in the morning, dedicated to this war.

Condemning Russia's "barbaric blows" to Ukraine, Kir Starmer noted that London would "increase a scale" and "suffer the proceeds that fuel its war (ed. Russian President Vladimir) Putin, while providing Ukraine with energy for the coming winters.

Some £210 million (243 million) will be allocated to export financing in order for the British company Urenco to supply the Ukrainian state enterprise Energoatom with enriched uranium, Downing Street clarified.

"We will stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary, and this announcement strengthens this," the British Prime Minister assured.

Ukrainian President Volontimir Zelenski is expected this morning at the G7 summit in Evian, France, for a working meeting dedicated to the peace and security of Ukraine and Europe.

French President Emmanuel Macron commented that he hopes to persuade his American counterpart Donald Trump to exercise more "pressure" in Moscow at the G7 summit.

“What I want is for Americans to say ‘we are with you, we will continue to help Ukraine, we will put more pressure on Russia’,” he explained during an interview with TF1.
