All... equal between Iran and New Zealand! The Iranians of Taremi, Hajishafi, and Mohamadi stayed at 2–2 with the All Whites and thus in the seventh group of the 2026 Mundial there are four teams, having from a point of view. Belgium and Egypt emerged tied 1-1 in the group premiere, earlier.

In the first half the rhythm was frenzy in a game with goals, phases and spectacle. The Iranians came in louder but against the flow of the game, New Zealand opened the score just in the 7th minute with Just. After a nice triangle between Sing, Wood, and Just, the latter controlled exemplaryly with the chest and with a strong bow sent the ball to the sky of Beyranwad's nets.

Iran then pressed, had opportunities and in the 23rd minute reached a... breath of the balance with Mehdi Taremi of Olympiacos. The high-powered striker after excellent atomic energy, shot hard with the right but the ball stopped at the vertical beam.

Galenoei's whole thing didn't give up and he got justice. In 32' Rezaian with the outer falcho pitched Crocomb, after a short break in the New Zealand defense and wrote 1-1. The Iranians found another goal at 45+5 with Nemati, which was correctly cancelled as an offside. The two countries went to the locker room tied.

The second part started just like the first! With an All Whites goal with... good evening. Great team effort by New Zealanders, Wood's assist, perfect finish of Just and 2-1 at 55'. Baseley's player scored his second personal goal and second for his country.

The joy of the New Zealanders did not last long, after nine minutes later Mohebi tied to 2–2 with an excellent header, after Rezaian's centra, which had scored the first goal. In the 65th minute Hajishafi passed into the field.

So, beyond the basic Taremi and Mohamadi, all players who struggle or pass through Greece took time to participate from Galenoei. As the match approached the finale the two teams pressed and the two coaches mixed the deck to reach the coveted third goal. In the 80th minute Mehdi Taremi passed off the field.

2-2 stayed until the game ended and the two countries shared from a point in their opening game at the 2026 World Cup.
