For the conditions under which she collapsed and died the 55-year-old nurse at Nafplio Hospital spoke to MEGA the President of the WTODEN, Michael Giannakos.

As he said, it all began when five Roma injured in a car accident were taken to hospital. According to him, shortly thereafter dozens of relatives and friends gathered in the ER.

"There was a car accident with five Roma, went to Nafplio Hospital and then beat up mobs, about 30 people. They were preempting people because they didn't agree with doctors. It's something ordinary," he said.

The president of the WTODINE argued that the 55-year-old nurse was at the heart of the tension.

"She was savagely betrayed by the 55-year-old. That woman three years ago had lost her child. From stress he could not bear," he said.

According to Mr Giannakos, the nurse suffered a heart attack, while a long battle of her colleagues followed to save her.

"There was an attempt to recover for 45 minutes and then intubated," he said, describing the dramatic moments that unfolded in the hospital.

He argued that there was no reason for the tension caused, as the wounded had been directly served by the staff.

"There was no need to shout. Everyone was served with the above," he stressed.

At the same time, he raised the issue of safety in public hospitals, noting that similar incidents are not rare.

"The police have been called thousands of times for such incidents. Hospitals are a closed vineyard. They break, curse, and cause problems. Security has no right to physical contact," he said.

As he said, the police arrived at the hospital when the situation had escaped.

"Police came after a celebration," he commented.

In closing, the president of the WTODINE revealed that, according to the parents of the 55-year-old, the savings she had accumulated would be made available to support the hospital's Relief Care Department.

"All the money the woman had raised, her parents decided to go to the hospital's Relief Care Department," she said.
