Exceptional financial aid EUR 150 for each dependent child provides for the bill put into public consultation by the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kyriakos Pierrakakis.
The measure concerns thousands of families with children, which will receive lump sums starting from 150 euros for a child and reaching 300 euros for two children, 450 euros for three children and even higher amounts for many children.
The calculation will be based on dependent children declared in the tax return for the tax year 2024.
The relevant provision is included in Article 15 of the ‘Measures to address the energy crisis and strengthen the available income of citizens’ bill and provides that the aid will be automatically paid to beneficiaries who meet the income criteria, without requiring an application. The money will be credited to the bank account (IBAN) declared in the application myADE.
Income criteriaBeneficiaries are the parents of dependent children who are tax residents of Greece who have declared for the tax year 2024 total family income, real or presumed, taxpayer or exempt:
up to eur 40,000 for married persons or parts of a partnership agreement, with an increase of eur 5,000 for each additional dependent child beyond the first,
up to 39,000 euros for single-parent families, also with an increase of eur 5,000 for each additional dependent child beyond the first.
The calculation shall take into account all common and non-common dependent children.
When will the money be paidThe exceptional aid will be paid by 30 June 2026, based on the figures in the tax declaration of 2024, as they will have been drawn up by the last working day of May 2026.
No application is required by the beneficiaries, as the procedure will automatically be carried out through the information available to the ADE.
Special provision is made for those who add dependent child to the AADE Registry by 31 July 2026. In such cases, the aid or additional amount to be paid by 31 August 2026.
