The guilt of the former South West European Parliament Annas Michel Asimakopoulou, the former Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior, Michalis Stavrianoudakis and their two other co-conspirators for breach of personal data in the case of the leakage of the e-mails of the expatriates shortly before the European elections in 2024, today proposed the prosecutor of the Three-Member Court of Justice of Athens.
In particular, the prosecutor requested that Ms Asimakopoulou and Mr. Stavrianoudakis be declared guilty of violating service secrecy and for violating the privacy laws. .
"Stayrianoudakis and Asimakopoulou must be declared guilty of both acts that burden them because they knew very well what they were doing," the prosecutor said.
On the contrary, the prosecutor requested the discharge of the then secretary of the New Democracy Alumni, Nikos Theodoropoulos, as well as Menios Koromilas, who was then serving as the organizing secretary of the New Democracy Administration and Crisis Management for breach of service secrecy. However, for both these defendants the prosecutor suggested that they were guilty of violating personal data protection legislation.
