In his maiden appearance in a World Cup final phase match, Cape Verde starred in one of the biggest (up to straight) surprises of the event, as he earned a white tie from European champion and aspiring world champion Spain.
Capo Verde kept in 0-0 the bad clothes heroized by 40-year-old goalkeeper José Evora Dias or simply Vosinia who throughout the race reminded his most famous compatriot: the ace of the basketball Real Madrid, Eddie Tavares, as he cut off and drove away all the Spanish attacks.
A few hours after the historical result Tavares appeared on social media and made sure to... troll his Spanish friends, who apparently throughout the previous period... teased him about this particular game.
"I don't know where the 8-0 you were talking about is. .. But I prefer 0-0", wrote Tavares filling in "Because I love you very much" and having a flag of Spain and a heart next door.
