Far 1998 Peter Weir presents The Truman Show, a film starring Jim Carey, which today seems to be prophetic.
A mixture of comedy-drama for the constructed reality in which the protagonist lived and which resembled a social experiment.
Something similar has been attempting in the World Football Cup that has been in progress since June 11 at the North American stadiums (USA, Canada, Mexico) and FOX Sports.
The American television network created a specially constructed glass view cube (custom-built viewing cube) in the heart of New York Times Square, in which they will remain until the end of the 2026 World Cup the two lucky ones chosen to be the "central viewers"!
Why this term was chosen we are not sure, however Kevin Kotoko, Austin Franklin (the two lucky of the thousands who declared membership) have the following obligation: to attend all 104 World Cup games, but at the same time create content for social media, record their reactions and interact with fans throughout the tournament.

What will the two gentlemen gain? Their fee will be $50,000 (43,100 euros), much more than the waiter at a Kotoko restaurant would make in a year, while Franklin's... companion is. ..influencer.
Both stay not all day in the cube, but in a luxury hotel that is literally at their door, while during their games they serve food inspired by the struggling countries.
"I really feel a little like I'm on Truman Show," Franklin told the Guardian. "Sometimes I forget where we are. I watch the game for a few minutes, then I look at Kevin and I see people right above us. I say, "Oh, my God!" Most of the time there are about 30 people watching us watch the games. It's a strange experience.".
For his part Kotoko noted: "We try to remain authentic during work. So, we are looking for the balance between being committed to the game, but also highlighting what we do.".
However, the top line was kept for the end by Franklin who admitted: "I sit on a couch and watch football. It's incredibly fun. There's something in the spirit of the World Cup that lures you. We have, literally, the perfect job.".
