New administrative penalties totalling EUR 389,339 were imposed by the Independent Authority for Market Control and Consumer Protection, following checks concerning both compliance with the allowed margin of gross profit and the treatment of the movement of counterfeit products.
According to the Authority's communication, controls are part of the ongoing operational action to protect consumers, combat unfair commercial practices and ensure the proper functioning of the market.
In particular, in the company TOTTIS BINGO AEBE fined height EUR 309,339, as the allowed Mixed Profit Margin was found to be exceeded in 33 product codes of the chocolate category. The infringements concern the period from 13 March to 3 April 2026 and were found to be contrary to the provisions of the legislation in force.
At the same time, checks carried out a warehouse in Daphne Municipality, the audit authorities have located and seized 6,341 pieces imitation accessories, which were subsequently destroyed. Administrative fines of a total amount were imposed on the case 80,000 euros.
