Not as another event of summer events but as a means of triggering the dialogue between the place and its people and highlighting the natural beauty, history and deep cultural identity of Fokida returns, for the eighth year, Delphi Festival "The Lalon Water".

From 28 June to 14 August cities, villages, squares, theatres, natural and historical sites will be a modern dolphin cultural ambience, which unites different communities through music, theatre, education and collective experience.

As the Artistic Director said in today's presentation in Athens Dimitris Maramis, "This year the Festival makes first co-production with DI.PE. Rumelis, in Panhellenic premiere of Euripides tragedyIon, in adaptation of Minas Vidiadis. Also for the first time it is accompanied by another festival, the 2nd Film Festival 2nd pt-shorts: Potidania Film Festival in Potidania, Municipality of Doridos.

"The Region of Central Greece firmly supports this important event, which highlights the unique natural beauty, the heavy historical heritage and the deep cultural identity of a place that has been a timeless center of Greek and global culture" stressed the Regional Governor of Central Greece Fanis Spanos.

The Mayor of Delphi Panagiotis Tagalis spoke of an event "with the conviction that in order to maintain its dynamics in time and to "wind" even more it should evolve", the Mayor of Municipality of Dorid Dimitris Giannopoulos stressed that "the Festival is a special opportunity for residents and visitors to get to know the place, enjoy high-level artistic events and discover the unique link between culture and the natural, historical and social environment of Dorida" while the President of Delphi Network Joanna Callia noted with meaning that "Lalon Water is more than a festival: it is the heart of a vision for culture, cooperation and extroversion".

Amfissa Music School opens, for the third consecutive year, the Delphi Festival "The Lalon Water" with a special tribute to the great composer Thanos Mikroutsikos. This year he joins the People's Total of Lamia Music School, at a musical meeting of young people, with the work and legacy of the great creator common reference point. "ION" by Euripidis - Co-production of Delphi Festival "The Lalon Water" & DI.PE. Rumelis

DI.E.D. Rumelis and the Delphi Festival "Lalon Water", in their first co-production, present a new stage version of Euripides' "Ion", in an adaptation by the author Minas Vidiadis. The performance holds its national premiere in Delphi, at the Frynichos Theatre of the European Cultural Centre Delphi — the place where the work takes place: the sanctuary of Apollo in Delphi. "Ion", one of Euripides' most controversial works, combines tragic, comic and romantic elements, while his heroes show deep human and contradictory. Directed by Roubini Muschohoritis, Music: Kostas Nikolopoulos, Kinis: Phaedra Daioglou, Lightings: George Ayiannitis. They play: Eugenia Dimitropoulou, Giannis Englishos, Maximos Moumouris.

Martha Fritzella, in one of her most mature and creative moments, is framed by master musicians in a program that includes songs of important Greek and foreign composers of the last two centuries, as well as material from her personal discography and the Kalogeraki brothers. "Lalon Water" is accompanied this year by the Pt-shorts Film Festival which returns for the second year to Potidania Doridas with a two-day dedicated to modern cinema and the meeting of creators and audiences. Viewing 12 short films from Greece and abroad, 4 workshops and masterclasses, discussions with professionals of the venue, award of 6 awards and 2 DJ sets compose a program that highlights the power of film narrative and enhances dialogue around cinema art. Under the backdrop of the mountainous landscape of Dorida, pt-shorts continues to evolve into a living cultural institution linking cinema and the Greek region.
