Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the Municipality of Varis-Voulas-Vouliagmenis on Tuesday 16 June 2026, making a series of visits and meetings on the progress of important infrastructure projects and strengthening services to citizens.
The first stop of the visit was the floodwater projects in Rema Corby, where the prime minister was informed of the development of interventions aimed at flood-proofing the area and protecting residents and property from extreme weather phenomena.
Afterwards, Mr Mitsotakis visited the Varis Health Center, where he had the opportunity to chat with medical and nursing staff, as well as to be informed about the operation and needs of primary health care in the area.
A meeting took place at the City Hall with volunteer forest firefighters, in the presence of the Mayor and local bodies, with a view to preparing for the anti-fire period and the contribution of volunteerism to civil protection.
During the visit, the Mayor Gregory Constantine He thanked the Prime Minister for the government's support for projects implemented in the region, stressing that "all projects made in the region are the result of political choices by the Mitsotakis government." As he said, "the city changes form with the help of the government," adding that "both I and the self-governors thank him from the heart."
On his part, Nikos Hardalias stressed the continued presence of the Prime Minister in addressing the issues of the District, noting features that "in all our problems Kyriakos Mitsotakis is always present".
