Arresting message for the eight people who died after the B-52 bomber crashed in California published Tuesday afternoon (16/6) in H the Minister of National Defence, Nikos Dendias.

The plane crashed at 11:20 (local time, 22:20 in Greece) on Monday And the whole crew was killed. Fox transmitted images on which it appears the aircraft was on fire and likely suffered total destruction.

The aircraft was performing a routine test flight when it fell a few minutes after takeoff, with authorities now describing the operation as a recovery mission. "It was a tragic accident with no chance of survival“ Colonel James Hayes stated.

The American authorities have launched an investigation to identify the causes that led to the crash of the aircraft. So far no more information has been made available on the mission carried out by the bomber nor on the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
