SYRIZA has entered for good now with a background to the controversial decision of his Central Committee on the new party Tsipras, as well as the "clearances" of Socrates Famellos with the first deletion of Paul Polakis and the replacements today of Nikos Pappas and Kostas Zachariadis.
At the same time, the independent MP Paul Polakis not only declares "present" to developments in SYRIZA but also invites the members of the party to decide with whom to go and who to leave.
The internal party purges were largely expected as Nikos Pappas is known to disagree with the Famelou strategy, as Paul Polakis, and Kostas Zachariadis is a common secret that his resignation was a matter of time as he heads towards the Greek Left Unity of Tsipras. At the same wavelength many more SYRIZA officials and MPs move along and it is common secret that they are simply waiting for time to resign from office and move towards the new party. Similarly, there are those executives who know that there will be no luck in the Tsipras party, (Polakis, Pappas, Durou, etc.) so they reject any strategy that brings Syriza closer to EL.A.S.
And in the middle, President Socrates Famellus who attempts to square the circle as he talks about support for the Tsipras party, on the other hand, states that he does not intend to lock Syriza.
For his part Alexis Tsipras has made it clear that he will not work with parties, nor will there be a joint ballot.
The Famellus Clearances
In all this, Mr. Famellus announced today in Meeting of Parliamentary GroupNikos Pappas ceases to be a parliamentary representative of SYRIZA and in his place are Theophilis Xanthopoulos and Kostas Barkas. "Univers irreplaceable" commented on karatism sources adjacent to Nikos Pappas.
At the same time, in a consensual way, Kostas Zachariadis ceased to be a representative of Syriza and his position was taken by Christos Giannoulis. In Kostas Zachariadis posted it, explained: "The founding of Alexis Tsipras' party brought new data that no one can ignore. It also rearranges our space, but can also play a decisive role in shifting political correlations in the country." He admitted that "the spokesperson must publicly express the party's line" concluding: "I discussed with the party's President about my decision not to continue with the position of spokesperson and we agreed that this is the right solution."

Polakis: "SYRIZA MPs to choose"
THE Paul Polakis in a video he recovered, he made clear his attitude asking Mr. Famelos "to bring us a specific agreement with EL.A.S." He described the recent decision of the party's Central Committee as "a decision that only dreamers can explain" and noted with meaning: "I will invite all the MPs of SYRIZA to choose who they will go with and who they will leave," concluding that he "stays in SYRIZA".
Famellus Warning: I will not tolerate public disputes
To Paul Polakis, Socrates Famellus responded in a strong way, at his recommendation at the party's Parliamentary Group meeting. "I will not allow a former member of the KO to present today, who has offended our operation with public positions and for this reason was deleted by the KO, blackmailing dilemmas and causing additional crisis, calling on Members and officials to choose with whom to go, when we have collectively decided our attitude," he stressed by saying that "we have paid very expensive corresponding mistakes of the past.".
At the same time, he sent a clear message to the dissenters: "Public disputes of the collective decision, a few days after the decision of the JV offend members and add only introversion and wear and do not answer the question of how to leave the right-wing regime" to add: "The decision is courageous and I invite you to support it in practice. I will not accept going back to the debate that was taking place before the JV.".
In response to minority objections, he said that "for too many months now, I say that Syriza-PS must come down to the election through a large, united and progressive ballot, which will claim the overthrow of the right". He recalled that 'the amendments to remove the term 'support', to prepare ballots, to plan B, etc. were clearly and democratically rejected. So we now proceed to the implementation of the decision." He also reiterated that "we did not decide to dissolve or suspend the operation of SYRIZA-PS" on the background of the establishment of EL.A.S by Alexis Tsipras" and that "we are working on the broad convergence and the electoral defeat of Mitsotakis, recognizing the decisive role of ELAS. This is also the prospect of continuity for the deposit of SYRIZA-PS".
