"Administrative opposition becomes a party when it comes second in the parliamentary elections and makes government the first party," said Paul Marinakis on Crete TV regarding Alexis Tsipras' placement that E.L.A. within a 24-hour period became a "second party".
"At this moment the main opposition is PASOK because of what happened in SYRIZA, following the election defeat of Mr. Tsipras and the various divisions that took place in SYRIZA," said the government representative and completed:
"The only sure thing is that Mr. Tsipras not in one day or in a few hours, but in four whole years and after two orders given to him by the citizens in 2015, he caught up with 30 new taxes or increased, anyway, or imposed 30 taxes, released all the heavy crime with the criminal codes and laws he passed, brought Greece to be 27th in the 27th in the 27th countries of Europe in growth and did the opposite at all levels, from political protection to health and from education to the economy, from what he had campaigned for. So that's four years. If Tsipras believes that in a few hours all this is erased, at the end of the day the citizens will judge us.".
Mr Marinakis stressed that the opposition's overtaxation account is false about the government's criticism of the budgetary area. ‘Other tax revenues, tax rates. In fact, the above tax revenues result from the treatment of tax evasion, job creation and more generally the development of the economy and the reduction of expenditure, this is not about the above revenues, but about the surplus. Part of the surplus in terms of its maximum on the basis of the European Union spending ceilings, is returned back to the world with tax reliefs and targeted permanent measures," he said.
"Now as to the 13th salary in principle all those who serve from any office are positive to any measure that relieves society. There is no politician from any party who does not want to vote for measures that help people. But this is a matter of priority. When you have a certain financial space, you have a billion to pay in 2027, maybe more I wish, the 13th salary, to understand, all of it, costs 2.5 billion. So let us say that we have 2.5 billion, which we do not have 2.5 billion to give, we prefer these 2.5 billion to as many as possible, which I say again will not be 2.5, it can be 1 go and above, that is to say to freelance tax relief professionals and to private employees and public servants who have given some increases and we will also give others and not just to public servants," he added.
On the matter of accuracy he said it is a battle daily, difficult battle, experienced by citizens in the most difficult way. "No one can say this battle was won," he stressed. "Anyone who claims from any party that he can push a button and eliminate or reduce accuracy as magically, simply mocks the world. In only two ways you deal with accuracy in the best possible way. The first is to increase income by permanent measures, so that income increases are greater than price increases, where and as far as possible the second way is with strict market controls and fines, so that those who, in the name of an objective crisis, an imported crisis, earn too much money to know that there will be too strict and harsh consequences," said Mr Marinakis.
Finally, on the bill of licensing regional channels, Mr Marinakis stressed: "It was a legislation, which was 28 years late and in those 28 years all regional television stations throughout Greece operated under temporary operating arrangements. That is, every year the minister or deputy minister responsible for the press and media had to extend this temporary function, thus the "holding" in which the workers and employers were in.".
"These jobs were actually extended every year, and most importantly, no "hera from the wheat", i.e. legal channels, channels which paid workers on time, invested in the quality of their content, hired more, complied with the law, with those that misused the law or often failed to comply with the legal requirements," he added.
