Ukrainian Su-24 fighter aircraft crashed Tuesday in western Ukraine, resulting in the two pilots on board losing their lives, according to an announcement from the Ukrainian Air Force.

The aircraft crashed into the Khmelnitsky district, an area located about 160 km from the Ukrainian border with Moldova.

In its announcement, the Ukrainian Air Force announced that both pilots were killed during the fighter aircraft crash.

The Ukrainian authorities are investigating the causes and conditions under which the accident occurred. As stated in the official communication, an investigation is under way to establish the reasons for the Su-24 crash.
