Man found dead in a pool of blood in Chania, next to him was found kitchen knife

A 92-year-old man was spotted shortly before 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning in his home, in St. Basil Street, in the Pasakaki area of Chania.

According to local media information zarpannews. grThe old man was found in a pool of blood, while a kitchen knife was found next to him. From the first investigation of the authorities it emerged that it brought injuries to the hands and neck.

The image the police faced initially led to an extensive investigation of the case. However, no signs of forced entry or struggle were found at the site, while the coroner ruled out any criminal activity.

Authorities are considering the case as a case of suicide.
