The issuing procedure has been initiated attesting eligibility for the new ‘Renovation of Residence’ programme, a total budget of EUR 500 million.

Interested parties may already, through the Taxisnet codes, check whether they meet the criteria for participation in order to prepare for the submission of applications starting early September.

What the program includesThe programme provides for a subsidy which can reach up to 95% of the cost of interventions, with a maximum amount of EUR 36,000 per residence or EUR 300 per square meter.

The highest subsidy rate relates to housing in mountain and island areas, as well as households belonging to vulnerable social groups such as many children and single-parent families and disabled people.

Right to participate have residences with a building permit issued by the end of 1990, up to 120 square meters of area. For triplets and many children the limit is increased to 150 square meters.

In addition, dwellings should belong to the energy category C, not be included in a corresponding programme after 1 January 2020 and not registered under short-term lease arrangements.

Houses that are either vacant during the two years 2024-2025 can be included in the programme or inhabited.

Evaluation of applications will be carried out gradually. Priority will be given to applications concerning lower subsidy amounts, and applications approaching the aid ceiling of EUR 36,000 will then be considered.

Beneficiaries may apply for eligibility attestations through the platformanakainisi.apps.gov.gr.
