With her deposits Assistant Medical Professor Helena Kranioti and Professor of Pediatrics of the Medical School of the University of Crete Maria Raisaki, the trial for the death of the three-year-old Angel in Crete continued at the Mixed Court of Heraklion.

Mrs. Kranioti said before the court that as a mechanism for causing the injuries to the three-year-old boy she considers the plague to be an organ. He reported that the child, overall, brought to the head and body 32 injuries which - as he said - refer to systematic child abuse and negligence, according to cretalive.gr.

As mentioned above, these injuries as a whole are identified in five to six different time phases with the oldest of them placed a two-month period before the child was admitted to hospital. Scars also found in the boy's body cannot be determined in time when they occurred.

She timed the boredom from a few minutes to a few hours before the child was admitted to hospital, while she clarified that this blow (the boredom) could have caused anything that was not sharp, such as the floor, a bat, a wood, or a book.

The coroner also referred to the other injuries brought by the 3-year-old, such as subsnaps and burns, which are consistent with abuse. These were different burns that had been caused at a different age in the child and did not look like the burn that a minor might suffer if he was burned in the oven. As he explained, the subsonic hematomas were not located in one or two fingers so that his hand had been caught at a door for example.

As for injuries in the perinatal country, Mrs. Kranioti estimated that it could be from a cigarette that was not left long in the skin as opposed to burns in the rest of the body in which burning time was longer. In fact, he also referred to the burning that the child had in his leg and which had been contaminated.

The coroner reported that the fracture the little Angel had on the wrist was particularly painful when it happened and the child should have been taken to hospital then.

Mrs. Kranioti was asked by the 44-year-old's defense advocate about the mechanism of boredom, high on the head of the little Angel, in the right parietal country. As he said, all he can answer is that this boredom did not come from an acne or angled instrument because in this case he would leave a mark.

‘Injury of strong violence by different mechanisms’
The Professor of Pediatrics in Medicine, University of Crete,Maria Raiskaki, noted that the Child Abuse Task Force through the illustrations studied thoroughly three axial brains of the little Angel, according to cretalive.gr. As he pointed out, the most serious was the first, the one held on 26 January 2025, after thetubeof the child. She noted that due to her scientific status she assessed the findings of the imaging tests to which the child was subjected with the most important to be considered the first CT.

The teacher of pedoradiology expressed the position, based on all the illustrative evidence, thatinjuriesin the 3 year old they are due as he said, "injury of strong violence by different mechanisms of boredom, shaking and shaking or vice versa, or a combination thereof. We certainly have boredom and we probably have shaking - shaking."

Mrs. Raiskaki made it clear that the pictorial findings they have in the case of the Angel refer to injuries of strong violence encountered or in cases ofor in cases of severe shaking - shaking, as reported by the same information.

I was asked if the hematoma might have occurred from the shock the 44-year-old made to the Angel when the child fainted, the witness gave little chance to it, saying features: ‘I give little chanceup to zero“ It’s just that I’ve been thinking. ”

The apnea is "red flag for abuse"
The witness scientifically explained that the findings available to experts are consistent with her version.abuse, also taking into account the fact that the little Angel also brought a fracture to the metacarpal consistent with earlier time abuse.

Asked by the 44-year-old's advocate if shaking can lead todeath, the teacher replied that it can cause death because the child stops breathing and apnea is "red flag forabuse“ It’s just that I’ve been thinking. ”

He also appreciated, on a relevant question, that what happened to the child, the acute injuries as he described them occurred in oneevent at the same time. In this conclusion the findings, i.e. the subdural hematoma of two densities, swelling and lumps converge. All of this happened at the same time and was caused from a few hours to 24 hours before the child was taken to hospital. With regard to the child’s metacarpal fracture, this is determined from 10 to 42 days before the young Angel was admitted to hospital.

Intensity and discontinuation
During the meeting there was ainterruptionfollowing a confrontation between the 44-year-old defendant (a partner of the child's mother) and the seat, according toneakriti. grThe 44-year-old defendant was normally brought to the trial, however due to illness he left and returned to prison.

It is noted that the 44-year-old's defense continues to put forward the claim that the child's death came fromdrop, a position which the prosecution investigates through a series of testimonies and technical evidence.

The hearing has been repeatedly marked by confrontations between defense and seat, with interruptions and tensions that highlight the highly charged climate.

In previous meetings, the 27-year-old's defense has requested admission to the evidence of his judicial decisionAthens Court of First Instance, claiming to be related to her mental state and status assessment ability.
